Hi Nicolas,
Fly fishing for bass can be very effective and at certain times, can out perform spinning equipment. We had a discussion in a post where we talked about choosing the right "tool" for the job. If bass are feeding on insects, fly fishing may be the best tool for the job. I can recall fishing on many occasions when I noticed that bass were feeding on dragon flies... the first thought that came to mind was "this would really be an ideal time to use a fly rod with a dragon fly replica fly".
Also, when bass get extremely hook shy, a wet fly like a woolly bugger or a large nymph can produce when bass won't hit other lures. You also have the advantage of casting tiny lures/flies with a fly rod that you would not be able to cast with a spinner rod/reel.
I hope this gives you some ideas.
Thanks for post and welcome to our bass fishing community...
