Mojo weight.
No serious, I prefer an egg shaped weight or a slender Mojo type weight for C - Rigging.

FishHead,
Good thread, when Carolina rigging I normally use an egg sinker, especially if the bottom content is hard, rock or gravel. Egg sinkers bouce along the rocks much better and cause better lures action. When faced with a mushy bottom situation, I will use a large bullet weight put on backward. The cup of the bullet weight digs into the soft bottom stirring uo lots of silt, which I hope looks like something is feeding and attracts the bass to the lure. 80% Egg, 20% bullet. Fishhead,

I will use an egg weight a large majority of the time. The only time when I will use a bullet sinker is fishing around grass. The bullet weight will come through the grass a lot easier. There is a weight that has been around for a while called a "LINDY N0-SNAG" weight. This weight has been working well for me. I tend not to get as many hang-ups as with the conventional weights.

Rodney,

Get some 3/4 ounce Penetrater tungsten weights. You can feel everything the weight hits. Especially if you are using a braided main line with a mono leader.

Hi Fishhead,
Like some of the other pro staffers have said, I like the egg sinker best but also will use a bullet weight on occasions. I prefer a 3/4 oz egg most of the time because it helps me to stay in contact with the bottom and feel everything that I come in contact with. The new tungsten weights do seem to be a lot more sensative and transmit the feeling up your line a lot better than the softer lead weights.

I use egg sinkers as well, I am with JT I switched to the tungsten weights. And as he said you can feel everything on the bottom. It looks like everybody here is in agreement with the egg weight

Eric, don't laugh, I use only the Mojo weights for C-Rigging.

Eric, could you elaborate on the Mojo weights a little, I am unfamiliar with them or call them by another name. Would like to learn more about them, and nobodies laughing. Johnnie Crain

I'm with JT on this one. Tungsten has helped my CR approach more than anything else lately. The feel is remarkable compared to lead and I have a better understanding of the bottom because of it.
Good Luck.
