I was practicing for a tournament last weekend and did not have any luck. The water was muddy it looked like chocolate milk. Any suggestions on lures and colors to use?

Strike King makes a 1/2oz spinner bait that is white/chart with one white and one chart blade. Throw that thing near cover and slow roll it back to the boat. Bright colors or really dark colors, fish slower and close to cover with lots of throws at the same target. Best way I know of to get bit.

I like to use the Persuader or a Single Colorado, with either a black or black and blue skirt

Most anybait works for me as long as it's loud, bright colored and has fish formula on it. The 3/4 to 1 ounce Rat-L-Trap in hot chartrese is a ggod selection.

This may sound a little odd, but a brown worm, not rootbeer or brown see through, but a milk chocolate colered worm is deadly in chocolate milk colored water. Its the only time I use the color, but is has saved a day or two.
