Hello to all from most of the time sunny Californaia.

Hey guys, I know this is something there are sure to be a lot of opinions on.

I found this very interesting article and I have fished with most of the brands mentioned and from my own experience the data in this report seems to be pretty much fairly done.

Overall the Toray SuperHard had consistantly high ratings. Just so happens I caught my personal best LMB fishing while freshly spooled up with that 10 lb. Toray flourocarbon. Very pricey though but the results were worth it in my opinion.

My allround favorite is Maxima and I've had good results with BPS and SunLine Shooter too.

Below is a link to the article and there is also a follow up there.

I found this to be very thorough and interesting.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, opinions and experience.

Good fishing to ya, later.......... geobass

I'll go with Stren's new Microfuse Braided. It's strong, limp and doesn't cause me any casting problems. Johnnie

I have used Berkley Vanish...a litte stiff, but have never broken off a fish, including 26lb carp on 4lb test and saw my catch ratio increase.

I have another spool rigged with Berkly 100% Fluorocarbon, haven't used it yet.

I have another reel rigged with Maxima...have caught less fish on it....
