I always want my fiber-glass boat to look good. I wipe it down everytime I pull out, and give it a quick polish every other trip. The products that I have used for this are: Eagle one wet, and restore boat cleaner/polish. Mainly I use Eagle one because it's cost effective, and easy to find. Q: Do you use a quick shine product to spiff up your rig? What brand? I'm not inquiring about wax, just the quick shine products. Your tips can benefit all glass boat owners. A clean used boat will bring higher resale value.

Butch, I use only spray on Lemon Pledge, it's cheap, quick and easy. It takes off the sludge very well, leaves a shine, takes up little room and smells good. It even works on chrome rails and wheels. I've even used the generic brands and they work well too. Johnnie

I have to agree with Jonnie on this one. Pledge and the ones you get at the dollar stores work just fine with my boat. And at a dollar a can it very easy to get the wife to go along with it.

I use it everytime I take the boat out of the water. It looks just as good going home after the tournament as it does going to it.

Jonnie we need to get together sometime and fish we thing along the same lines too much.

We need to look at that tournament thing! I think that would be a great Idea. The First Annual Bassin USA Tournament? That has a ring to that I like. What do you think there Guys?

If you want to try and put something together, I am willing to get the sponsors and permits together to back this thing up. My partner and I have discussed the possibility of doing a Bassin' USA tournament and we already have a format outlined that I think you guys would really like.

Where's Dan Galusha? This sounds like a "Dan" project.

Obviously, we'd need to make it worth everyone's time to travel and compete, so this would end up being a "Money" tournament. Who knows, maybe I can arrange for a camera crew to be there to film the event?

Make it an open tourney anywhere eastern half usa and ill come fish ,,pay to see the weigh in

Thats a great Idea. Our only problem would be geographical, but I'm sure we could figure something out. If I can do anything to help let me know. I am thinking a 2 day tourney along the Everstart guidlines on trading partners each day, this way we will meet more people ya know. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with changing partners through-out the tournament. Location would be a tuff one, but we can work around that. I would have to say it would most likely be someplace in the eatern, central or northeastern part of the US, since the majority of our ProStaff members are located in that general area. This will take some thought and planning. I am going to start a new thread so we can keep checking back and that the other ProStaff members can get easily identify with the topic, since this is now hidden under a topic related to "Boat Polish" :rolleyes:

All in favor of the Bassin' USA tourney. Would be a hoot to meet all the guys. As far as the original question, I use Old English furniture polish and Turtle Wax Express Shine. Both work well. Like the others, its a matter of what you find that you like. Not one better than the others. Keeping the boat looking good and protected is what we are after here.
