Without getting into details and naming names, I advise you not to buy any add ons, such as extended warranties, and replacement fees when purchasing fishing equpitment from major chain sports stores. I had a bad experience yesterday where I was not able to exchange a reel I was unhappy with after purchasing a replacement plan. On another note, I have a club tourney this weekend and I;m on some really big fish, wish me luck.

Dennis,

I have been using that "replacement plan" at S.A. in New York and haven't had a problem with it... yet...

I wonder if there is some new policy that they put in place. In the past, you didn't even need the plan, just a receipt and sometimes, not even that...

Strange...

Bren, I'm glad you havent had any trouble with yours. I am really bothered by it because they blatantly lied to me. Now I have a sub-par reel. Oh well, s### happens. Have a great season fellas and boat safe.
