How Often Do You Get Checked for Fishing License?

Geo, friend of mine had a Mean 15 and put a 175 Mercury on it. It would fly but illegal here. Somehow he didn't kill himself or anyone else. The 140 was good enough for me and legal everywhere except in Minnesota where the DNR will measure the boat length and width and determine what it iis rated for. I stay away from there.

The 140 sounds like the right choice. I was just kidding about the 200.

Forget the power.. It would be to heavy most likely. Probably chine walkin' city.

I had a 19 ft. Cajun with a 150 yamaha and the champion would outrun it. P.S. I still own the 1980 Mean 15 I bought new. It's at my Uncles house in Missouri. I use it when I'm down there. Still looks and runs great.

I was checked at the Castaic Lagoon twice this year... once by boat and once on shore. I still do not think that is a lot?
