The other key date change besides the fishing license being good for 365 days from date of purchase (same with saltwater registry) is that the hunting license year would now be September 1st through August 31st (instead of Oct 1 through Sept 31).

I think I'm going to faint...Simplified law changes!!!! I can't believe it. Next thing will be uniform size limits on fish!
