Power Pole -vs- Talon - Shallow water Anchor

So I'm curious to get some feedback from people who have purchased either a Power Pole or a Talon. Which do you have and why did you choose it? Pros and cons of the units? Any advise for someone thinking about getting one?

There are a few guys in the club that have them but I think for me it's a huge expense for a small boat. I'd rather have a wind sock since the max depth on either is 8 feet. And most of the areas I fish are fairly deep. I'm not sure how much use I would have for it. I could see it if I did more sight fishing in shallow water. But I just don't have the use for it here as I would if I were further south.

I know I would use mine a lot in the spring, but after that, I'm not sure how much use it would get.
