FLW Rayovac on Lake Champlain - thoughts?

The FLW Rayovac Northern Series continues on Lake Champlain today, and I have several friends competing in it. Its common knowledge that making the run to Ticonderoga can produce 20+, but can be a risky venture for a variety of reasons. Having never fished the place, and after looking at the Navionics contours, I would think it would be smallmouth heaven not to far from the launch site....what do you think?
