Why Ooo Why??

I have been going to the same fishing hole for years, now. Winds out of the south , southwest at 10 - 15 mph.is normally a very good day to go out. I use a spinnerbait that works great. As of late it just does not seem to work as well as it did. I have tried different types of spinnerbaits (coler& sizes) on these kind of days. Without any change in landed fish. What can I do?????

Roger,
The area or lake that you are fishing may have just changed. Lakes cycle themselves and the fish you once caught may have either changed their feeding habits, or changed their location in the lake.
My first recommendation would be to try and establish a completely different pattern with a differnt bait. Perhaps something slow moving.
If you have been doing this for years, the bass may also be tired of getting stuck in the face by your spinner bait!
I would personally start with a soft-plastic jerkbait which you can work fast or slow...
Let me know if you have any success changing up your lure under the same conditions...

I agree with Brendan. It would be good to find a different pattern. Ten chances to one, if you've been catching fish like this somebody else has been doing the same thing.
I would go finesse, and most likely use a tube (no surprise for people who know me). I would also use a 4 inch finesse worm on a 1/16 oz. lead head. This would be used with a slow bump or do-nothing method.
Another thing that sometimes works where spinnerbaits have in the past, is swimming a white jig and trailer. I use a 3/8 oz. whit jig with a 4-inch pearl Sqwormer. Another friend, Bob Quist, uses a pearl pepper jig, with a pearl pepper twin tail. When swimming the jig, bump the wood more than with the spinnerbait, and then let it fall over logs, etc. We've had some good results.
