I was just wondering if someone could help me find a lake map on the internet. I was told that i could get one off the internet but i can not find the right lake. The lake is called Stagecoach Lake. If someone could find that for me or tell me how I would realy be greatfule. And another thing, I was wondering on how to go about getting a fish finder, If i should go cheap or not, because i was not sure if cheap was as good idea or not. Thank you verry much.

Luke, Stagecoach is not a real big lake and is not much of a tournament stop so a map for that one might be hard to find, try the Nebraska Game and Parks web site, they have some primitive maps for those lakes that mostly show contours and structure they have put in.
Also, I am not that far from you, and I do get over to Branched Oak on occaision, maybe we can get together sometime this spring or summer.
Let me know how the NGPC web site works for the map.

Luke,
I never advise anyone to buy anything cheap. On depthfinders, however, there are some good ones for about $100. Check out the PMax Humminbirds, that's what I use. Good luck. Have fun. Johnnie

On the depth/fish finders, I must say I was extremly impressed with the Garmin Fishfinder 240. It is just unbelievable how accurate and detailed that unit is for the money. Bass Pro Shops sells it for $189 and I have yet to see another unit that looks so close to a paper graph. It will actually pick up vertical lures on the diplay with great detail.
The nice part is as you upgrade your boat, you won't really need to upgrade this unit.
Good luck with which ever unit you choose, but I can tell you first hand that the Garmin 240 will not disappoint you...
