I was needing some help on the subject of my rod and reels. I'am going to tell you what rod and reel i got together and if you would tell me if i should get something els for that reel or put somethin els together... Thanks..here's what i got------

does not look like graphit
neither one of them....

I aslo have a Shimano Aero SY 3000R and a gear Ratio of 6:2:1 with no rod.. what do you think should go with it...Shheewww.. lol Any info would BE Quit Helpful... Thanks alot....good luck on the water...Man that took a while...

I don't see anything wrong with your set-ups especially if you are comfortable using them. The unmarked rods are most likely a graphite/fiberglass composite. They will do the job. I prefer composite rods over strictly fiberglass or graphite in six foot to six foot six inches, really don't care for seven footers, too gangly for me. You get the best of both worlds. I had some bad luck with early model Boron rods so won't use them anymore. Good luck fishin'. Johnnie
