Yesterday i fished a fish off with a young guy who taught this old man something. We had a fish that was about 1/8" short. He said keep it and maybe after it relaxes it will pass. I use Rejuvenade in my live well, which is supposed to relax the fish so they aren't so stressed. We get back at the end of the day and it passed!

Carl,

Be careful, that works both ways! Any fish that is within 1/8" on either side of the line should always be checked before bringing them to the scale. I refer to these bass as "liners" and they can cost you money and points in a tournament...

One more piece of advice, always measure both sides of the fish, one side masy be longer due to stomach contentbor other factors, most officials will try both sides if asked.
