Good one Bryan!
Heavy, I have caught numerous items while fishing, I guess if you keep your bait wet you'll catch something. I once caught a woman's purse with everything in it except money, someone had stolen it, took the cash, filled it with rocks and sunk it, it put up a good fight too. The lady appreciated getting her keys, social security card etc. back.
The scariest thing I ever caught was once when night fishing on Bull Shoals on a dark, moonless night. Fishing a plastic worm in sixty feet of water, I thought I felt a tap, set the hook and began reeling, didn't feel like a fish though, just kind of swayed back and forth in the water. As I got it near the boat I nearly fainted. I caught a baby doll and it looked an awful lot like a real baby, boy, was I relieved it was a doll.
On several occassions I have caught live clams that have clamped down on my walleye jigs. On one of those trips, my partner caught a freshly filleted walleye that might have weighed five pounds. Nothing left but bone and hooked right in the mouth, imagine the odds.
I once caught a tree limb with a knot hole, in the knot hole was a nice green sunfish, alive. Released both. I have caught numerous turtles and even one snake, and a couple of bull frogs. Hopefully someday, I'll actually catch a BASS!!!
