I like to pitch large black skirted spinnerbaits with orange blades right out onto the bank and drag it in slowly, slow retrieve, I also add fish formula to the skirt. I also like to use a large black on black jumbo pork frog on a jig, I only fish the first few feet from the bank and swim it up top. Good luck, it's do-able. Johnnie

Johnny and NJ are spot on! I dont think you can beat a spinnerbait. Colors are important but I suggest you try some variations and get confidence. Once your confident in a color: experiment will speed. Never toss a spinnerbait without a trailer hook. This will increase your odds of landing fish. Also I like colorado or indiana blades as they provide more noise and can be reeled slower. Very important! Also bump as much cover as you can to get a reaction strike. Last but not least always paralell cast along a shoreline when feasible. Last tip: Roll cast for a soft entry!
