I would concentrate on the shallow cover, even in hot wtaer bass feed well in skinny water. Meduim speed shallow cranks work well. A plastic worm should catch fish at the outside edges of the weedline and don't forget to try deep cranks where it's 14' feet even if there's not much cover, sometimes, they just suspend out away from the banks and can be caught, speed up the retriebve a little, use divers that reach about 10 feet. Guys and gals, do you generally prefer to see lots of bait fish while you're fishing. My Brother and I disagree on this one, he doesn't like to see bait fish, says if bass were there the bait fish would't be. I feel if bait are present, it enhances my chances, though I usually don't try to match the hatch, but go with a contrasting color. What do you think?

Thanx Johnnie, I'll give it a go. as far as your question on Bait fish, Earlier this season out in a small row boat I used one of those Norcross Hawkeye portable sonars. Now it will show fish and weather the bottom is hard or soft that's it. So when we were in about 9' of water over weeds if we saw Bait fish we start with the tubes and cranks, and we catch,if there were no bait fish there wasn't anything else either
