fish finders

Post by lock15man »

I need advice on fish finders. I want a color combo finder/gps. I fish only fresh water, no deeper than 100 feet. I am interested in marking fish and structure on the move. Can anyone give me some advice?

Lock15man,

Almost any Sonar-GPS Combo unit will allow you to do what you stated. If you are looking for a certain feature or performance level you will be able to narrow your search. The company I work for makes depth sounders and sonar-gps units. The sonar-gps come with a built-in map but can also use the Navionics HotMaps (Gold and Premium) map cards. Most of the depth sounder units can have gps added to them but will not show maps (less expensive way to go). Single beam sonar, dual beam, quadbeam or side imaging sonar... See what I mean by knowing what features will narrow your search! I would check each companies web sites as well as try to look at some in a retailers showroom and possibly someones boat on the water.

If you find that you have any questions about any of the Humminbird units, I can try and answer them.
