Absolutely ICE out is my favorite sight to see. Unfortunately we still have ice thick enough that you could park your truck on it. This year I'm actually happy because: I stored my boat in a farmers pole building and he stored a bunch of other vehicles in front of my boat. If I cant get my boat out by May 1 I will go crazy as I start fishing tourney's in early May. For you lucky guys that can get out on the water early I'm envious.
Good fishing to all.
Bassin Butch

As soon as I was gonna reply that our ice is over--it is now snowing and night time temps will be in the teens!!! NO!!! I''m bouncing off walls waiting for just a little warm up. The water is just damn cold, 38-39. So what do I do? Spend needless money on baits that I'll never use!!! The internet can be great, or a great curse. :p

Carl, you don't need to buy anything for very cold water, try small jig and pigs, small jiogheads with a 3" grub body or Road Runner jigs fished ever so slowly along the bottom. I've caught bass in 34 degree water with some consitency. Give it a try. Johnnie
