found fish but cant make them bite
im was pre fishing and found bait fish,and bass chasing. water temp is 55 and air temp 7o during march. i caught 3 fish about 2lb each but i know bigger fish are there my question is go to that spot during tournament or go look somewhere else for bigger fish

Jasona,If I was fishing I would get my limit frist,and then use the rest of my day up grading my fish.I wish it was 70 here.I have to pre-fish in the rain and maybe snow this weekend.Jerkbaits are always good this time of year,along with a c-rig.Good Luck.

I agree with Joe, however, when you run into a school try working deeper, that's where the larger fish position themselves. Diamond shad, cranks and spinners. This tech. has worked well for others, not so well for me. The tourny guys will give you more info. If the water temps. are that high, you should be in for some good fishing. Good luck. My first tournament is the 2 and third of April, but I haven't been able to get out because of problems with my boat. Our water is still pretty cold. Once again, good luck. Carl

A jigging spoon might get at those fish, but don’t expect to find the baitfish in the same location; they are notorious for moving to warmer water or moved by and with the wind.
