I am located in South Carolina and have just moved here from Ohio. I live around some shallow ponds, alot of them are actually located on golf courses. I was just wondering what would be my best bet for getting some of these bass to bite. If anyone knows the area or my best bet for these ponds, your help would be greatly appreciated.

A spinnerbait or buzzbait is always a good place to start. They bite on them all over the world. Also, a shallow crankbait could be good. If these dont work, you can always pull out the trusty plastic worm and catch a few.

I have been using spinnerbaits and they seem so be working alright.. it seems that i am catching them in such shallow water, they are right up on the bank.. is this normal?

In a small pond the minnows and other bait always seem to be in shallow water on the bank. They feed off minnows alot and that is why a spinnerbait or small worm will usually work the best. Spme ponds a smalll crankbait is hard to beat.
