Yes I know this is a Bass page, and I only fish for Bass myself but I must share what I had seen: Last week the PWT held a tournament in IL on the Chain O lakes in northern Il. Even I (bass guy) couldn’t miss a chance to watch pros weighing in. I went to the final day weigh in last Friday and I learned a lesson: The PWT guys fished the water different than the locals as evident by comments in the crowd. Pros fished in 3' or less and caught most of the fish on short lined crank baits actually within the prop wash. Seems the prop would kick up baitfish and the walleyes found this a ready to eat meal. The lesson I learned was to throw fish a change up! Give a fish a different look at a lure and you might get a pleasant surprise!
