I would like to know some of the better baits you would try in rivers because alot of the baits you try in lakes just dont work that well for me in the river. Your help would grately be appreciated.

You cant fish any river system without spinnerbaits in white and chartreuese/ silver or gold blades. 3/8 is best. Another good bet is the shallow divers-3- minus one to 3 feet, perch, shad or bluegill patterns workj best. A Baby Zoom Brush hog in blue sapphire is great for working heavy cover and don't forget,medium diver cranks-5 to eight feet for popinbts and rip rap. Firetiger works best-I use a Fat a firteiger Bomber mostly. Fish breaks in fast water, rip rapped area, points of islands, slack water behing any current breaks and all fallen trees. Areas close to boat rampos and feeder creeks can be good also. Always fish upstream casting ahead of the boat, river fish don't like lures swimminhg up behind them. Good luck, Johnnie
