I fish several areas that have underwater brush and logs.I have fished several different lures, and done pretty good. Now I want to use jerk baits around these areas. What would be the best presentation, for brush, logs, and ripraps?Any advise would be very helpfull.

Bassman, it's hard to beat the old "rip and stop" technique with a jerk bait. Cast the bait out to the cover, rip it down hard, then pause briefly. Maybe make a couple of steady cranks, rip it down again and stop.
Another good technique for clear water is a dying quiver. That's simply casting out the bait, let the splash rings disappear, then just barely twitch the bait, just make it shudder more than actually dive or move. You can a fish a bait in one spot for a long time this way.
There are more techniques, but I'll leave them for others. Good luck, Johnnie

Most folks use a suspending bait in the spring and winter but I like it all year long. If you can get it down near the cover and then just let it hang there, man them fish cant stand it.
On floater/divers I like Jonnie's "Dieing Quiver' it works really well. I will also rip it and let it float back to the top.
One little trick I like to do with this is weight the tail of the bait just a bit so that when it rises it floats back up head first. Think of a shad or minnow that is dieing? How do they swim they fight to get to the top and that is usally head first. Now grant it this is not easily done but it can be and it works great. Some baits just a larger hook works. =You would just have to experiment with it.
One more thing if you know how to tie feathers on a treble hook that would be a good thing to replace that back hook with.

All the earlier suggestions are great and should produce.
I’ll add one from an old-timer.
Nodding, a technique that seems to have vanished over time. Clear water produces the best results for this particular method, though I have had some success in stained areas.
It is primarily a thin water presentation, but on occasion it works for deeper fish that are feeding up. An excellent pattern is near-surface thick wood or vegetation.
As with the earlier description of ‘shuddering’ cast the bait and let the impact circles die out. Now the tricky part, twitch the bait just hard enough to make the nose dive, but not hard enough to pull the bait under. I.E. ‘Nod’ its head.
Note; it is best to use a ‘standard’ mono line that has some stretch to avoid imparting excess action to the bait. Some practice is needed to learn just how much force to use. I’ve found the standard 5 to 7 inch Rapala or floating Rogue works best for me.
One of the advantages of this technique is the lack of forward motion, once mastered a bait can be worked in a very small area for some time. The elderly gentleman that taught me the method could work a Rapala for five minutes in this manner and move it less than a foot.
Strikes are deceptive when working the bait this way, splashy hits will invariably be smaller fish. When the bait vanished in a slight dimple, set the hook hard and hold on. It’s going to be a nice one, sometimes a real hawg, caught more than a few five + fish doing it.

Hey all,I read all your tips, and found one to work really well. The shuddering tip, produced some great bass.I caught a few small bass, around 1-2 lbs,and a friend of mine used the same technique on a brush pile, oppisite side of the boat, and caught a 3 lbs,and a 7 lbs bass.He said begginers luck.I'll keep at'em till my big bass comes along. We both thak you all,for all tips. Now he can say, that the big one didn't get away.We used an 1/2 ounce wild shinner,in a baby bass, and shad pattern.Thank you again,we're really greatfull. thanks again, bassman
