I need help, need some tips on fishing in large algae blooms. what should I use and how should I fish it.

John, I often fish algae blooms here in the midwest. I am convinced you can't beat a gold bladed, tandem spin with a chartreuse skirt fished right under the surface. Leave a wake with the bait, use large blades. The fish can feel the bait, see the bait and follow the trail laft through the bloom.
You may have to vary the depth some. Some algae bloom only covers the surface , some may be as much as two feet thick, but somewhere under there is clean water. The bass actually like algae blooms, they use it to hide in and as over-head cover to block the sun. Good luck, Johnnie
