I am mostly a large and small bass guy. I fish tributes of Lake Pend Oreille and small ponds. For the past week, I have been getting skunked everywhere. I ve gone from every kind of lure in three tackle boxes, swimbaits, cranks, worms, plastic worms, topwater, buzzbaits, I'm just getting annoyed. The Weather has dropped in temp about 10 degrees for the last week or so and now it's again warming up... Are the fish going deeper and out into the river and lake are they just not hungry 3pm-8pm?

BassSlayer, I would suspect that the bass in Idaho have just recently spawned and have probably moved to deeper water to rest. This can last about 3 weeks, however; not all the spawn so there should be some action at least. I can only suggest trying to fish soft plastic baits very slowly and work from shallow to deep water. Try various speeds and depths. Often, a very fast retrieve might be the ticket by triggering reflex strikes. I think ther fish are probably just in a post spawn funk and will come out of it soon. Don't get too discouraged, we all get blanked sometimes. Good luck-hang tough. Johnnie
