"The Baby Gary Stadler
Benefit Bass Tournament"
Sunday, September 16,2001
Lake Ronkonkoma Launch Site
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
On February 11, 2001, Baby Gary was born to Gary and Maria Stadler of Lake Ronkonkoma. Unfortunately, Baby Gary was born with a very rare Chromosonal disorder call Campomelic Dysplasia. As one of only 32 documented cases in the world, Baby Gary's chances of seeing his first birthday are slim at best. Gary's parents have taken leave from their employment to stay at home and try to provide around the clock care for their son. The limits of their health insurance and the additional allotment provided for the family by the insurance company were exceeded long ago and the family is trying to get by on medicaid.
Long Island Bassmasters with its long standing ties to the Lake Ronkonkoma community is trying to do its part and raise money for the family by hosting this benefit tournament. You can lend your assistance by participating in this event. The entry fee is $50 per boat with half of all proceeds going to the Stadler family.
