Benefits of Couples Tournament

Post by mofish »

I know we get caught up in our fishing. (understatement) But this year my wife and I are fishing the C.A.S.T. Tournaments here in Texas. It has been a wonderful time on the water with her. The last tournament that we fished she caught her first keeper fish. It was great! It wasnt the biggest fish of the bunch but you would of thought it was when she hooked it.

It made me stop to think of the first keeper that I caught in a tournament. To share this feeling with someone as special as her was the best feeling in the world. I think I bragged more than she did.

If you have not tried this kind of tournament yet YOU NEED TO. There are some great folks out there that have the same love of the sport as we do. Sharing time of the water with the other half of you life sure makes it easier.
Thanks,

Benefits of Couples Tournament

Mofish- You are absolutely right about how great it is to fish tournaments with your life partner. I fished 18 seasons with my wife in club tournaments. She routinely either caught more weight or had the biggest bass. These weren't partner tournaments either. We were fishing against each other, too. She retired 3 years ago and I now fish with a lot of guys.
The only downside to Couples T's is that the entire outlay of cash comes from the same household. But that's the only negative thing.
Thanks for contributing. Good Fishing,
