Fenwick HMG Triggerstik Review by Kevin

First Impressions:

My first impression of the HMG 7 footer when I pulled it from the tube, was it felt a bit heavier than most of the rods I have been using.  But it does not have a spit grip handle which adds a few ounces to the rod.  I did notice however, the rod felt well balanced in my hand and the overall appearance and feel was very good.

First Impressions:

First thing you notice about the HMG Triggerstik GT70MH-F is its appearance. The rod has a black epoxy coated blank and the wrapping on the guides are black with gold tips which goes nicely with the gold lettering on the blank. The grip is very interesting; it is what Fenwick calls TAC, which stands for technically advanced construction. It is designed for the angler to have better grip during wet conditions so it’s a different material then traditional cork.
